Filippo Caprioglio IXI Lights

I featured a Filippo Caprioglio project in an earlier blog post.  Ever since, I’ve been wanting to write about his lighting design.  The Glasschat topic this week is lighting and it has given me the perfect opportunity to write about Filippo again.  In addition to designing beautiful architecture, Filippo designed the IXI lights for FDV Group’s Murano Due brand.  I think this is a wonderful example of a modern chandelier.  The light comes from a ceiling panel that illuminates the tubes below.  Some of the tubes are mirrored to add to the reflectivity of the light.
