Bright Ideas

Today I am looking at a beautiful Painted Metal and Glass Table Lamp by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte in 1955 that I found on Pinterest.

Here is another great looking lamp by Donald Deskey / ca. 1927 / Glass, chrome-plated brass and wood / at the Met.

and finally…LALIQUE CLEAR AND FROSTED GLASS ENTRELACS LAMP / Circa 1926

IT IS FRIDAY!!!

What are you doing this weekend?

It is rainy here at Looking At Glass headquarters this morning so, I am getting ready for the holidays by decorating the Christmas Tree and the rest of the house. I always like taking everything out of the storage boxes and remembering where all of the decorations came from. I have one of those Christmas trees with ornaments from many years past. It always makes me happy and a little sad all at the same time. It is worth the effort, though. Tonight I will put on the Christmas music, turn off the lamps, make a cup of spice tea,  and enjoy a tree full of memories.

I hope you have a very special weekend full of holiday memories!
I will see you back here on Monday.

Very stylish lamps. Enjoy your memories this weekend. I do the same with my tree – all the decorations remind me of people or places. That’s what Christmas is all about isn’t it?
