Hudson Loft

Today I am looking at Hudson Loft by SchappagerWhite LTD.

In the former American Express warehouse building, TriBeCa, NY two spaces were combined into a 3000 sq. ft. residential loft.  I like the attention given to details in this project.

Although the family wanted more storage, they also wanted their new kitchen to have a clean look, so Schappacher and his team put in a pantry right behind the kitchen. The left and right end panels on the backsplash have pivoting windows that open up into the hidden pantry space, allowing the family to pass items back and forth.

And the shower enclosure for this loft is pretty awesome, too! This custom enclosure was fabricated with old wire glass to help keep the old loft feel. Clever!

Love how that kitchen and pantry are designed to serve need while also being so aesthetically pleasing.
