Today I am looking at the Hydra Collection by Melogranoblu.
I recently saw a picture from Maison & Objet showing Gamma, one of the styles in the Hydra collection of lights by Melogranoblu. In case you haven’t noticed, chandeliers have given way to pendant groupings. This lighting style allows for tons of creativity and I enjoy watching designers continue to explore new ways to show and display these groups. The Hydra Collection has elements that would fit any design style.
The Hydra Collection consists of 13 different style lights: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Stigma, Lambda, Lhasa, Sigma, Omega, Onion, Datura, and Theta.
Blown glass shapes, transparent or sanitized, hanging on a special tubular of coloured metallic fabric create fascinating and articulate bright composition.
The light projected by equipment hit the glass which reflects it in the environment creating effects of really high suggestion. The fixing techniques of singular elements to the ceiling, the possibility of putting the glass on the whole length of the tubular as well as the many combinations of shapes and colours are the essential characteristics of Hydra.
