Chihuly Exhibition Opens at VMFA

I feel a road trip coming on.  You can bet I’ll be racking up the miles on the Looking At Glass luxury limo in the coming months.  The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in Richmond, Virginia has a Chihuly exhibition that opened October 20th.

Dale Chihuly, Persian Ceiling

The award-winning James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Wing will provide a dramatic setting for Chihuly at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, a major exhibition of work by internationally renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Chihuly’s art remains at the cutting edge of the technical and virtuoso possibilities of glass as a medium, and this exhibition will include many iconic works for which Chihuly is known, as well as site-specific installations, taking advantage of the soaring Atrium and reflecting pool.

The exhibition runs from October 20 through February 10, 2013.
