Amazing Rescue

Today I am looking at amazing video footage of a Murano chandelier being rescued.

MuranoGlass.com (@muranoglass_com) is sharing a video this morning that shows the recovery of the lamp of St. Augustine (FE) from the ruins of City Hall.  A 6.0 magnitude earthquake on May 20 was followed by a similar-size quake nine days later on May 29.

The chandelier had to be saved via a robotic crane.

Here is another video of the same rescue. It really is amazing how they perform this rescue operation. I especially like the enthusiasm from the crowd watching the rescue.

Thanks to Murano Glass for sharing!
