At GlassBuild America’s Decorative Glass Forum, I had the opportunity to see my glass pal, Mandy Marxen, V.P. of Marketing for Gardner Glass Products, Inc. Before leaving Atlanta, I told Mandy that I wanted to visit their facility to see first-hand how their products are made.
Yesterday morning I jumped in my car and travelled to North Wilkesboro, NC to visit Mandy and the good people at Gardner Glass Products. Gardner Glass Products, Inc. is the maker of Dreamwalls Glass backpainted glass.
I’m always interested in how products are made. I think learning about how a product is made is like learning about the history of someone you just met. Seeing a product like Dreamwalls glass start at one end of the manufacturing line and all of the processes it goes through, not to mention all of the people who work so hard to make it happen, gives the product more meaning to me. I’ll never look at another Dreamwalls Glass installation without thinking about the manufacturing process and all of the wonderful people at Gardner Glass Products who work so hard to make it happen.
