Patterned Glass

I love the elegant pocket door with patterned glass in the Bilbao, Spain home.

Interior designers, Fran Ugarte and Iñaki Cuesta , did a great job of mixing materials in this small kitchen.  The horizontals on the doors mimic the lines of the cabinets and the glass pattern mimics the tiles.  Or should I say the tiles mimic the glass!  Which came first, the chicken or the egg?  Hmm….

I love transoms. Can all new homes install transoms? The open feel, the light, the geometry they introduce to a room are always welcome to me.
